How we verify listings
This is a small, hand-checked directory. Here is exactly what a listing means and what it doesn’t.
What gets listed
- Checked on the groomer’s own website, its own booking page, or a chain’s official store page (PetSmart, Petco, Woof Gang Bakery).
- Salons are listed under the neighborhood of their own address. Groomers without a published shop address are listed on the mobile & service-area page with the area their own site names, never a street address.
- “Book online” and “Request appointment” buttons link only to a booking page or request form we found on the groomer’s own site or the chain’s official store page. Otherwise the button is “Call” (or “Website” if no phone is listed).
- Every listing shows the date we last checked it.
What is held back
- Businesses we couldn’t confirm on their own website: found only on third-party directories or social media, site unreachable, or the site doesn’t confirm dog grooming in Brooklyn. These go live once we confirm them, or once the owner contacts us.
What we don’t do
- No Google star ratings, review counts, or copied reviews. Each listing links to Google Maps instead.
- No opening hours or prices.
- No written “descriptions” of businesses. You see the facts and where they came from.
- No paid placement. Listings are alphabetical.
- We don’t show license or insurance claims. Ask the groomer directly.

Each neighborhood page has at least 5 checked groomers. Nearby neighborhoods share a page so that no page is thin: Park Slope · Williamsburg · Greenpoint · Bushwick · Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights & DUMBO · Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights & Fort Greene · Flatbush, Kensington & Windsor Terrace · Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst & Sunset Park · Sheepshead Bay, Gravesend & Midwood · East New York, Canarsie & Mill Basin.

Brooklyn Groomers is an independent directory. It is not affiliated with any groomer. More on the About page.
Corrections
Owners can fix or add details for free. See add or correct a listing. We verify requests by replying to an email address at the business’s own domain, or by checking the business’s website.
